Your gift helps Church of the Holy Family realize its vision: to create a community which loves and serves Christ and our neighbors.
This fall, Holy Family’s stewardship campaign invites us to reflect on the deep connections we share as a faith community. We will focus on our personal stories – how our lives, experiences, joys, and even our struggles shape who we are and how we live out our faith. There is no doubt that we live in a time of distressing headlines, personal challenges, and economic uncertainty. But one thing remains a steady comfort: the meaningful relationships we build and nurture at Holy Family.
Last year, 32 households pledged a total of $156,000. We need to match that level of support again this year so we can continue to meet our commitments and grow into the future. Everyone’s gifts are different, and it is this diversity of blessings that allows a parish to thrive and grow. When we share our gifts, we are outwardly demonstrating our gratitude for what God has done for us and is doing for our community.
Our 2026 Pledge Campaign theme is Tell Out My Soul. You may recognize this phrase from the cherished hymn, “Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord.” The lyrics of this hymn paraphrase the Magnificat—Mary’s song of praise found in Luke 1:46–55. In that passage, Mary, the mother of Jesus, rejoices at the astonishing promise that she will bear a child who will change the world. She gives thanks for what God has done for her, and she sings of what God is about to do for all people: God will “fill the hungry with good things” and “lift up the lowly.”
That same promise has been entrusted to us at Holy Family. Week after week, we live into Mary’s song—lifting one another up in worship, in prayer, and in love. We reorient ourselves toward Christ, and from that place of grace we go out to serve.
What we do here matters. Our ministries touch lives – often in quiet, unseen ways – but always with love and purpose. This is why your time, and your talents are just as important as your financial gifts. Every hour volunteered, every idea offered, every dollar given becomes an act of ministry—rooted in prayer and sustained by grace.
As you pray about how you will share your gifts with us this year, we invite you to consider how God is calling you to “tell out your soul.” What Good News have you experienced here? What have you witnessed God doing through this church?
Stewardship is a cherished practice of the Episcopal Church and helps us connect our lives to Church of the Holy Family’s mission. Our gifts provide vital revenue for the maintenance and operation of our sanctuary, church buildings, and technology needs. Our offerings are also critical to support the parish’s outreach ministries and financially compensate our devoted clergy and staff who provide pastoral care and engage us in prayer, worship, and service. Our annual financial gifts express our appreciation for the blessings we receive and share with our parish family.

Stewardship involves love, hard work, energy, and dedication. It is also a gift that reflects a person’s unique strengths, passions and resources. As a vestry member, I love caring for the parish’s present life and planning for its future. As Holy Family works to expand its reach to care for our larger Mills River family, please carefully consider your gifts of time, talent and treasure.

Everything we have is a gift from God. God in turn asks us to be good stewards of these gifts and to return a portion to Him. Returning that portion enables Holy Family to minister to those in need and maintain this loving community. We are a community that welcomes the stranger and embraces one another in good times and bad. A community that is Christ’s presence in Mills River, NC

Stewardship means to take care of something. In this case, it is the care of our church and our community. We are planners. By pledging, we help Holy Family plan its work and outreach; it is our confirmation of support for the church’s missions.
