Music

Music is an important part of worship at Holy Family.  Every worship service is filled with music that  provides an opportunity to experience God’s presence.   Our choir, under the direction of Music Minister Terri Karlsson, acts as worship leaders through the singing of music chosen to support the lessons.  The choral offertory is chosen from a variety of musical styles ranging including classical, gospel, contemporary, and African American spirituals. Our bell players add to hymns, service music, choral anthems and play bell preludes. Last, but not least, is our group of “cherubs” which range from 18 months to 7 years of age which add joy to our services.

If you have an interest in playing bells or play any other instrument we would love to have you join our musicians. Bell rehearsal is at 6:30 most Wednesday evenings. The Holy Family Choir rehearses at 7:00 on Wednesday evenings except during the summer months. Cherubs rehearse immediately after Eucharist on Sunday mornings. The Holy Family music program has become an excellent musical organization and an integral part of our community.
